Melisa Minca

Melisa Minca brought a collection of vintage silk scarves found in secondhand shops and gave full creative latitude, asking only for a muted palette. All pieces dyed with alder cones, giving the silk a quiet warm beige as the base. Iron was used to draw marks into the surface in a controlled way. The work sits between dyeing and journaling.
